Indoor & Outdoor Play
With our huge indoor playbarn and outdoor adventure play zone, Play@ Lower Drayton Farm is your ‘Gateway to Adventure’. There’s plenty for kids of all ages to explore – climbing, jumping, sliding, swinging and riding – whatever the weather!
More than just a good way to let off steam on rainy days, kids will want to take on our vast indoor play space all year round!
Adventure Farm (5+)
Adventure is the name of the game on our 900sqm playframe. Bigger kids (5+) will have hours of fun burrowing through tunnels, clambering up levels, shimmying between floors, squeezing between rollers, leaping over obstacles and swinging between spaces.
On their way, they’ll zoom down longest Astro-racer slide in the UK, dare to take on the ‘Hair-raiser’ gravity drop slide, challenge friends on the Ninja Llama run obstacle course, scramble over high net bridges, plunge into the depths of the ‘Wormhole’ black hole helix slides, test their mettle on the vertigo-inducing ‘Skywalk’ and hone climbing skills in the ‘Treehouse’ traverse climbing box.
Piglets’ Play Pen Indoor Play (under 5s)
There’s plenty for little kids to enjoy too in our safe and secure toddler zone, where parents can relax and watch their toddlers play while enjoying some time out.
There’s a cute mini village with tractor workshop, vets, village store and café for little ones to engage in imaginative role play.
Those with a thirst for adventure can explore the tiddlers’ action playframe, with three storeys of space to clamber up and slide down before plunging into the ball pool, taking a spin on the duck pond ‘whizzer’ or racing down the cow-print bumpy slide! Under-2s have their very own, secure play area with soft animal ride-ons, mini slide, sensory water puddle, ball play and interactive games.
Paddock Play Barn
Our converted grain store offers a huge additional undercover play space. Kids will never tire of the slide complex, which includes the 3m ‘Demon Drop’ (and 2m ‘Drayton Drop’ for those who aren’t quite so brave), the 3-lane ‘Rainbow Racer’ Astro-slide and 3m ‘Twister’ helix slide.
On the opposite side of the barn, the ‘Lower Drayton Tractor School’s’ ride-on electric tractors* let kids follow in Farmer Ray and Farmer Richards’ footsteps. The barn also offers a dedicated picnic space and small toddler play area, so families with kids of all ages can enjoy the fun.
As you’d expect on a farm, we’ve got acres of outdoor space for families to enjoy – there’s sand and water play in the Pumping Station, bouncy pillows to boing on, racing zipwires to zoom down, the Farm-ula One pedal car raceway for speed demons, a ‘Treetop Towers’ climbing adventure, a woodland play area with swings and a see-saw and inflatables to jump about on in our undercover events barn.
The woodland area is also home to our resident ‘four little pigs’ and our huge European Eagle Owls, while in the adjacent animal paddocks you’ll spot more members of the farm’s animal family – including donkeys, llamas, alpacas, emus and rhea birds.
During the summer months, visitors can take on the challenge of the Maize Maze and there are always fun seasonal activities on offer – from the Halloween Pumpkin Patch to Farm Trailer Rides during the warmer months*. Check out our Events Section to find out what’s happening during your visit.
(And there’s more to come)…
We’ve got more exciting developments planned for 2021 in the outdoor area – including more outdoor animal pens, a huge viewing mound, grass toboggan racing and a goat pen with bridge that would make the Billy Goats Gruff green with envy!
