Your experience will start in the Haybarn Theatre, where you’ll watch a short, engaging film about sheep – picking up lots of interesting facts along they way and learning how we care for them. You’ll then head into the lambing barn itself, where our pregnant ewes are kept in communal pens so we can keep a close eye on them till they give birth, and be on hand if they need assistance. You’ll also get to see our new lambs in their ‘maternity ward’ pens with their mums, where they stay for a few days to aid with bonding and make sure that they are feeding well before they head into the nursery pens with other ewes and lambs to frolic till its warm enough for them to head out and enjoy the spring grass.
Our friendly team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about our sheep and lambing – and who knows, you may be lucky enough to see a live birth!
When you’re done exploring the lambing barn, there are some fun sheep-themed activities for you to enjoy as a family – including a trail to help Farmer Ray ‘find’ his lost flock – before you spend the rest of the day letting off steam in our massive playbarn, enjoying our acres of outdoor adventure play and meeting more friendly animals in the animal zone.
